One of the different styles that can be accomplished with glass is sandblasting. A lot of pieces by Sleepy Eye Stained Glass can be seen in various gun cabinets throughout the area. Many commercial buildings have their logos sand blasted on colored glass, highlighting their names. Local awards and medallions have been created in the shop as well.
This train was commissionedby a local toy train collector. We did the etching from a picture that was brought in. After accentuating the piece with a stained glass boarder it stands out.
This eagle is double etched, parts such as feathers
and talons are engraved deeper than the rest of the eagle. This piece is
bordered with Red White and Blue glass and used as a gift for a member of
the American Legion.
